What I keep, and why.

When you ask for the Storm Week Checklist

I keep your email address, the date, and where you asked for it: the box on the page or the box that pops up, and the video or part of the book the link came from, if there was one. Nothing else.

I use it to give you the checklist right away, to send you a few of my winter tricks by email now and then, and to see which of my videos bring readers. I don't sell your address and I don't give it to anyone else to use.

Reply to any email, or write to me, and I'll take your address off the list and delete it.

When you send a review

I keep your first name, your stars, your review, the date and, if you give it, your email address. With your permission I show your first name, your stars, your review and the date on this site, nothing else. The email address is optional and only so I can write back; it is never shown or shared and never used for mailings. To have your review taken down, write to me.

The clock at the top of the page

When the clock at the top shows how long your launch prices last, they are held for you for 7 hours from your first visit. The clock keeps running when the page is closed: come back after 3 hours and you have 4 hours left. To know when your first visit was, the site keeps that time in two places: a cookie in your browser, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address and browser type, which can't be turned back into the address. Both are kept for 30 days and then removed. They hold no name and no email address.

When you buy

Stripe handles the payment. I never see your card number. To count how many people start a checkout, the site sets one cookie with a random number in it, kept for 32 days.

In your own browser

Your browser remembers whether you have already seen the checklist box, so it only pops up once, and the start of your clock. That stays on your device.

Who sends the emails

The emails come from Frugal Frannie. Every one of them says how to stop them, and a reply is enough.
